(NIA stands for Neuro-Muscular Integrative Action, which is a cardio-vascular
program that uses whole body expressive, grounded movements rather than repetitive jogging or lifting for conditioning. The NIA technique tones and trims the body, is kind to the joints, and is usually done barefoot. NIA is adaptable to every level of fitness, every age and type of body, even those with limitations. Fitness gained by using the body's weight with varying intensity, range of motion, and speed. Traditional benefits of NIA include cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, strength, balance, endurance and relaxation. This class is taught by certified NIA instructor, Lynn Gordon.)
